Even with the best intentions in the world , I don’t think anybody could ever accuse me of being a born Blogger. A Singer yes, a Musician yes, a Songwriter, yes, a Creative person yes, but a Blogger…. No. No no…
I think I am too busy making music to have very much time left for blogging.
Life is so full of moments to live, Music so full of moments to enjoy, singing and playing and having fun.
I have spent a lot of time in the studio this last year, recording a backlog of songs I wrote in the 70’s and onward. I have almost finished one album “Shades of Zanna” and am already working on the next, and it’s stimulating to be allowed to record my songs exactly like I want them to be, all my own arrangements, with help of some fabulous musician friends of mine playing some fabulous sax and guitar solos.
It’s been interesting to see how my own voice has developed with the years, it has deepened and matured with richer textures. In some respects I think I am a better singer now than in my younger days and I really do enjoy singing with a different control, and I have found that I am still learning new little voice tricks that I am using. So that’s something for everybody to look forward to.
Remember you’re never too old to learn a new skill.
