Private Lessons

We will discuss your needs and get to know each other, and find out what you need/would like  to learn. I will also teach you a little about good basic singing skills

I will teach you a breathing exercise and depending on your level of skill some other appropriate exercises. I will check your range and tuning and I will,if time permits and you feel comfortable enough, want to hear you sing a song you feel fairly comfortable singing, either with a CD or backing track or if you have some written sheet of music with chord analysis (Symbols such as  C, G, Am, F7 etc…) then I can back you on the piano.

This will show me your strengths as well as areas needing improvement.

Now you can decide how often you want to come for your lessons.

Currently I teach Tuesday,Wednesday Thursday or Friday 12-9pm.

When I am fully booked I will be happy to put your name on a waiting list.

Personal tuition and coaching on a one – on – one basis throughout the year

I recommend one hour lessons, or 40min, but give an option of half hour lessons as well (recommended  for young children). Lessons will be booked according to your needs as frequently as you wish.

Here you will learn the different skills taught in the group lessons but in much greater depth and tailor made to your needs. Whether you have just started singing or are experienced and want some help , checking bad habits etc before a show…

I will work with you according to your individual needs, and together we will agree on the format which best suits you.

A generic format of a lesson would be split into two parts.

You will learn Breathing techniques, Tuning, Voice control, Power, Projection, Voice expansion, Range expansion, Diction, Interpretation.  Finding and developing your own unique style, finding the songs that are right for you, How to care for your voice and more…

You will now apply your new skills in a song of your choice. (Unless I think the song is unsuitable for you in which case I’ll advice you in a different direction or level of skill and together we’ll find a song we can work with)

You will sometimes work with a backing track, but always learn a new song through careful analysis of each phrase, with piano backing.

As you become more ready to face an audience, I can teach you performing skills from microphone technique, to creating a dynamic show!

I am excited to announce that we will soon offer singing showcases at a Prestigious Musical Venue where you will be able to test your skills before an audience.  (A great bonus for your Biography as well.)
